This is Quill. Well, we named her Quill in honour of her suspected encounter with a porcupine
while running astray far away in a rural township up near Ottawa.
She is now safely stowed at a shelter in the area but she needs
our specialized care so we stepped up without the safety net of a confirmed foster home.
She arrives at our veterinary clinic on Saturday.
Here's what we know about
sweet little Quill…
A smaller older beagle that's somewhat war-torn from her time outdoors. She has scars to prove how tough its
been for her. Wounds on her belly suggest a likely encounter with a porcupine. Despite it all, Quill loves nothing more than
to crawl in your lap for cuddles. She's sweet as sugar pie but shy at first. Thankfully, she's got the natural beagle inclination
for treats so that helps to warm her up. Very polite with other dogs although she sometimes chooses to hide from them. She
was taken to meet the cats in the cat room at the shelter and appeared scared.
We're very grateful that we were contacted about this dainty
little senior girl.
She's our kind of beagle and we're ever so hopeful we can find the perfect foster home for her.
