One Year. Just One Year. But oh, what a year it
was!
Buddy Howly left us the day after Valentine's.
His body was worn out. The Diabetes had taken its toll.
But that is not to say he didn't
have plenty to wag about up until then, despite his health troubles.
He filled this past
year with an entire lifetime of beagle mischief - from picnic table surfing at Beagle Day in Toto Park last April to stretching
out bald-eagled on the "good bed" in his forever foster home so none of those beagle siblings of his could even
score a corner.
Buddy Howly knew he could get away with such things.
Because Buddy Howly was loved beyond measure.
Our
hearts and our thanks go out to Erin and Brandon for not just their phenomenal care, needles and all, but for their incredible
love for our Buddy. Because of them, his life didn't end a year ago after being thrown away by his owner. In fact, it had
just begun. Yes indeed, it was a glorious year.
